Rosa, Sendy, Melissa and Ewa… four different shoots.

It’s been a while since I posted up a new blog update. Apologies for the month-long delay. I honestly didn’t think I’d shot much recently that was worth sharing. Then when I started to look back I realized there were several shoots that I’ve done that I haven’t shared on my blog.

Read on after the break…

I’ll start with Rosa.
Rosa and I did a small shoot a couple weeks back before she moved to Japan for the rest of the summer. Rosa has studied and lived in Japan and speaks fluent Japanese – among several other languages.
We had talked about doing a photoshoot with tape for a long time. But, between our schedules timing has always been an issue. So, we made sure to get the shots done before she left.

Rosa always does a great job with her own makeup, and in this particular shot, her fair skin helped make for a bright image with primarily one main color. This one was my favorite pose.
We did a few edge light photos as well since Rosa wanted some done.

A lot of people seem to love the second shot because of Rosa’s curves and pose. Other like the first since you can see more of her face. What do you think?

I also recently set up a small shoot with Melissa.
Melissa Meza is the dancer that I worked with earlier this year. Her photos were consistently commented by people on Facebook, and I received messages for nearly two months after with people telling me how gorgeous they thought Melissa was and that I should shoot her again. So, recently, Melissa and I set up a small shoot for fun and took some new photos. We had to change things up last minute because a contact of hers who was providing wardrobe flaked last minute and didn’t return phone calls until after we were done shooting. We made the best of it and still took a few new images.

Can’t forget a smiling one… everyone loved Melissa’s smile.

Next up… Sendy.

I’m sure all of you remember Sendy. She’s a model and gogo dancer that I’ve worked with in the past. Well, last month Sendy got ahold of me and wanted to do some new photos. She wanted a few shots in the bikini you see here. And also had an additional outfit idea. So, she came by and we created the following shots.

Last up, is my shoot from June with Ewa…

I didn’t realize I never shared these images earlier this Summer. But, Ewa is a girl I met while shooting the Lordan wedding a year ago. We’ve stayed in touch and became good friends since then. Ewa has gorgeous blue eyes, but, she’s shy and not a fan of having her photo taken. So, it took me about a year to finally get her to sit in front of the camera for some photos.

Ewa is typically not this serious. This just happened to be one of my favorite shots because it’s eyes stand out so much in it. I’ll have to go back and find a nice smiling one of her to share in a later post.

So, that’s it for now. Again, I’ve been fairly slow this summer… unseasonably slow actually. Things are set to pick up for me here in the next couple weeks and I’ll be running around a lot the next two months.
We’ll see how the rest of the year goes though. Photography work seems to be slowing down quite a bit in Socal due to increased competition from weekend-shooters. If things stay the same I may relocate if my work takes me elsewhere.
