Journal 8 Saturday: Today we planned to go down to Camden Town and see the little shops and stuff. Before doing that though we were going to go to the library so Justin could use the internet and buy tickets for him and Ben to go to Scotland that night on the night bus. We took the bus to Ealing Broadway and went the library. Justin couldn't get a card because he has no proof of residency while he's here in England . We went to Safeway where Ben and Justin tried to figure out what beer to get. Ten minutes later they still had not made a decision on anything. We ended up all buying liters of Orange Juice and start walking toward the tube station to get to Camden Town before it got too late. “AHHHH, I REMEMBER WHY WERE GONNA BUY ALCOHOL….we were gonna DRINK it! Now we don't have any booze….” Justin says as he kicks the ground in disappointment. We got to Camden Town and started walking around, it was raining just slightly…the annoying lite-rain they get in Oregon most of the time. Justin found a jacket he liked, but wanted to walk around and see more stuff. As we were walking it started to rain, kind of hard too. We got pretty wet, but there wasn't much we could about it. We walked to a Safeway so Justin could use the ATM. This was an actual Safeway, like one back home. It was huge, and it sold fireworks, hahaha. Ben and Justin decided to buy the cheapest cider they cold fine; Frosty Jacks is 7.5% alcohol and costs 1pound for a liter. We walked back toward the shopping area and kept looking around. Justin said I should get my hair braided while I'm here; I had dreaded most of it myself the night before when we were at O'neils. On our way back to the Tube station Justin stopped off and bought the jacket he wanted. It was only 35pounds, so about $65. It a really nice jacket though, handmade it Nepal . They have a bunch of them, fleece lined with either wool or cotton shell. If I have money left at the end of this trip I may buy one… but who knows, I have a lot of jackets as it is. On the ride home Ben suddenly jumped off the train at one of the stops cuz he had to go to the bathroom. Since Justin and I had to jump off real fast, before the doors shut, Justin didn't grab his bag with his sweater in it. Fortunately he had switched what he was wearing and put on his new jacket. Anyway, he's going to have to fill out a “lost item” form. We got home and Justin packed up his things, since he and Ben were going to try and catch the night train. After they left I stuck around the house here and talked to Grahm. After he found out that I know html and css he wanted to know if I could help him with his MySpace account. I built him a simple css script so his looked a little more customized, and since he got me online I was able to check my email account. I had 113 emails and 111 were junk. The two that weren't, were not even important emails at that. Oh well. Justin ended up coming home around 12:30 . He said all the trains/busses and stuff were full. So they weren't going to be going to Scotland that night.
