Tuesday:

Our second and last day in Bath ; we had plans to go see Roman Baths. After four or five hours of sleep my alarm went off. I was the only person who brought an alarm clock, I think, so everyone had told me to make sure everyone gets woken up. We all went downstairs to breakfast.

They gave us little cards/vouchers for our breakfast. Part of the package we paid for was a full English breakfast. They gave us baked beans, a fried egg, fried toast, a sausage link, hashbrowns, regular toast, a plum tomato, and orange juice. I passed on the tomato, but went back for more toast, and also had a bowl of cereal. I figured the more I ate for breakfast then I could save money by not eating lunch.

We went to the Roman Baths and got ready for our tour. We were given things that looked like 80s cell phones; we could then just punch in the number posted next to things we were interested in hearing about. The baths were pretty cool; it was amazing to see the statues and still-working aqua ducts they used to route the water from the hot spring. Afterward we were on our again for the next five hours until our train ride home.

I went walking around with Erin and Jenny for a bit before meeting up with other for lunch. We went to this Italian restaurant for lunch; they had a sign up advertising a 3.95pound pasta lunch. So everyone went inside and sat down. We were going to sit in two groups of four, since all the tables were small and a few people wanted separate checks. The manager insisted that we sit downstairs at a large table. “But we're fine sitting up here, we need separate checks.” Said Vivek. “That's fine, we'll do separate checks, but we'll sit you all at one table.” Said the Manager. We ended up sitting downstairs, when amazingly enough Shawn was able to find us. When he sat down at the table next to us the waiter had a fit. He started saying “I NEED TO KNOW HOW MANY OF YOU THERE ARE, CUZ I DON'T WANT TO HAVE TO GET MORE TABLES READY. If I get one ready and people show up, fine. But if I get it ready and no one shows up then I won't do it.” We had to tell him multiple times that we didn't care if the other people had to sit at a different table; he finally listened to us after about five minutes.

Everyone got there food, ate, and were ready to leave. The bill came, not separated of course. It made sense since the waiter was rude the whole time. Here in England you only leave a tip if it's deserved; there is no expected 15%; so he got nothing. As we walked out the manager was standing toward the exit, with the waiter; they were bitching about how kids always come in and order the lunch special. “How are we supposed to make any money if people always order the special? Of course we're not going to separate the checks for them, we loose money” (they charged a service fee for the amount of people we had). It was pretty amazing they were complaining, if they didn't want people coming in and ordering the special, then they should take down the “Every pasta dish 3.95 during lunch” sign.

We went walking around to figure out what to do for the rest of the day. I went to a fudge shop with Aaron, Laura, Kelly, and Katie. It smelt really good so I left since I didn't want to buy anything, haha. Afterward we walked back to the cookie shop again and people bought more cookies; we're really healthy eaters. The rest of the afternoon was spent wandering around Bath taking pictures and seeing all the buildings again; the sun was out and there weren't many clouds in the sky.

We had to meet at 4:45 to catch our train, it ended up being late so we were waiting and extra 30minutes or so. The train home was packed. And apparently even though you pay and are assigned a seat, that doesn't mean that the seat is yours. Our car was nearly full, and our seat taken. Some of us ended up in the next car down, but we had our own little table to sit at during the ride. We finally made it home, only to have another 40 minutes ride on the Tube. I got home and sat and watched the video of the night before with Justin and Ben. Afterward I crashed.
