Journal 13 Saturday: Today was slow. I originally was going to go into school early and use the computer lab to check email and hopefully catch people online, those who were up late. But I remembered that the computer lab at school is closed on Saturdays, oh well. So I chilled at home in the morning and was doing stuff on my laptop here. Katie then called, her and Laura were at school and wondering was I wasn't at the gym where I told them I would be. So Justin and I headed into school to meet them at the gym and work out for an hour or so. The only problem is that it takes us an hour to get to school. So, by the time we got to the gym they were just gettin ready to leave. So Justin and I worked out for our hour then were going to meet them for lunch. Justin decided that he could pick up in the gym right where he left off a few months ago, his arms are killing him now, hahaha. After the gym we went to STA Travel and Justin booked plane tickets to Amsterdam for him and Ben. I wanted to go on this trip, but it turns out I'm not going to have the extra money to spend on the trip. We met up with Aaron, Laura, and Katie and decided to go to the music store so Aaron could look into buying a guitar. Justin and Aaron broke off to go to a second shop while Katie, Laura, and I sat and ate lunch. After that we all went our seperate ways with plans to meet up later that night with everyone; the plan was to go to a club of somesort. We all met up in Leister Square, it was soooo busy. There were tons of people in costumes, a day early, for Halloween. Justin, Ben, and Jay had sat around the house here drinking before we went out, so they were already drunk. Ben totally puked on the way to Leister Square, all the while Justin was laughing at him. Well, we all stood around there for a bit before everyone decided to go home. So, people slowly started to break away from the group to go home and sleep. The club was free for the girls, but a 12pound cover for the guys, which we were not about to pay. About half of us ended up in a little coffee talking for a while. After that we walked to Trafalgar Square to meet up with some other people. We walked over, said hi, then all caught the Tube home.
Sunday: Halloween here was slow as well. I did laundry in the morning, I think I did... I don't remember really... I left the house around 12 or 1 to go to Oxford Street and find the Disney Store here in London. I walked up and down the whole damn street before I finally found it. I also ended up buying new jeans. So now I own london jeans, hahaha. The clothes and styles here are cool, they're just expensive since the dollar isn't worth much. Later that night we were talking about going on a Jack the Ripper walk. Prior to that I went to Ealing Broadway to try and find an internet cafe to book airline tickets, I never found one. I caught the tube to Leister Square and wandered around there for a while. There weren't nearly as many people dressed up, in fact hardly anyone was. Aparently all the fun stuff happens the day before Halloween. I got ahold of Justin who said people were meeting up in Trafalgar, so I wandered over there to meet them. I found Erin, Sarah, Chad, and Vivek who were all sitting down chatting. We ended up all just hanging out there for a couple hours waiting for other people to finish the Jack the Ripper walk. They finished and ended up at some coffee shop in North London. So we went to a nearby pub to sit down out of the cold. We chilled there and laughed and talked. There was a house party in North London that people were going to go to afterward. I opted to go home since I didn't feel like taking night busses home when I had class the next day. Justin ended up home at 3, after having to take the busses, lol. So yeah, that was my Halloween... first time I was home before 12 on Halloween in a few years. hahaha. |
