Journal 30 Sunday: Well, I'm back from Barcelona... and I have a ton of work to do. I spent most of the morning doing laundry and working on my essay's for English. I finished my Gender Fiction essay, I wrote about the novel Written on the Body, I finished it by about 1pm I think. I then sat down to start writing my Dramatic Literature essay. But after spending the morning writing my four page essay for my other class, I could not think of anything to write about for Cloud 9. I seriously stared at the damn screen for about 20 minutes trying to think of a title, then I could think of a thesis, then write my paper. Jill if you're reading this don't be mad I didn't sit down and think of a thesis with you in class, haha, this is how I always write my papers. Anyway I got up and took a break to eat lunch, then came back to try again with my paper. Well I couldn't think of anything to write on, so I changed my book to Hamlet. As much as I didn't want to write on this play it's probably the text I know the most about. I've read it a few times, seen the play, seen four versions of the movie, and analyzed the hell out of it in two different courses. So I wrote the first intro paragraph to my paper then stopped. Justin and I walked to Ealing Broadway to top-up our cell phones. We then decided to go down to Leister Square and see "The Incredibles". Once we got down there we met up with Holly; Justin and her wanted to go to some other theatre and see it there. I told them they could go, but I wanted to see the movie here. The problem was that it was going to cost 10pounds...so $20 to see the film. I figured it was our last Sunday in London together and I was willing to pay the money. They agreed. We went to China town so they could eat dinner, they have a 5pound buffet there that was supposed to alright. After eating we went to the movie, sat down in a MASSIVE theatre, and got ready to watch the film. This place was huge; it's where they premiere movies in London... so it's pretty nice inside, they even have a bar. They had about half an hour's worth of commercials though, it was annoying. Well the movie was hilarious, I was laughing so hard throughout most of it. It was definitely more risque for a Disney film. And it was pretty obvious that Pixar wanted their name all over the movie - the end credits thanked the entire staff or something. Afterward we headed home, Justin made a few comments about it being sad that it was our last Sunday in London.
Monday: the 29th First day of finals week here in London. I woke up and went to school as usual. Mostly review stuff today. I checked my email and talked to some people online. Sat in class and went over the material for the final on Wednesday. I don't remember if I did anything that night... I have a feeling I didn't. I went home to work on homework I believe.
Tuesday: the 30th So we were supposed to have a tour in the morning. Well, I thought it we had to meet at 9:45 at Big Ben - apparently it was at 9:15. And because I spent about 30 minutes trying to find my class I missed my photo class, which was apparently meeting at 10:00 at a gallery on the other side of town or something. So I went back to school, sat online workin on some stuff. After running into some other people from class I chilled with them in The Gallery (cafeteria) at school. We were all comparing what we did and didn't like about the program. We all had a great time, but all agreed things were disorganized. That day was a perfect example. It's the middle of Finals Week for everyone, and pretty much everyone was running around trying to figure out where their classes were. Some people, like me, missed class that day because they didn't know where it was meeting; and some people completely gave up on class and either went home or just went to do their own thing. Well we all a British Life and Culture course at 4pm that day. I walked to Tesco with Kelly, we were talking about computers and cameras and stuff, woo hoo! go nerds! hahaha. Anyway, we got back to class and sat down waiting for the lecture to start. Ivar came in to give some announcements to everyone that was leaving on that Saturday. Afterward Jill stood up to tell everyone that the lady who was supposed to come and give the speech that afternoon cancelled. So now it was official, I did absolutely nothing that day! HAHAHA. After we left I went to download my email, and then went home to finish my essay.
